CSCOPE? or Homeschooling?

Since CSCOPE is Being Investigated

Two children at a school desk. One is whispering, Home Schooling Works. Pass it on.

Why is CSCOPE still in our schools?

The ESCs illegally formed a non-profit company called TESCCC, inc.

The product produced by TESCCC,inc. is called CSCOPE, an unapproved instructional material.

Why is CSCOPE still in Texas public schools?

Why are the ESCs still in charge of CSCOPE, the unapproved instructional material that has plagiarized lessons?

CSCOPE is being investigated because it has incorrect, anti-American, pro-Islamic, anti-Christian lessons, among other problems, but CSCOPE is still available in Texas schools. WHY?

While the state legislatures play politics, our children are still not being educated.
Senator Patrick said that if CSCOPE were an airplane it would be grounded. Using this analogy, the solution has been to tape a few patches over the broken parts, and with children on board, push it off the capitol building and let it glide. It will be the first time that CSCOPE will exhibit spiraling but it will be downward toward the earth.
The following is from a parent that has an idea that can bring faster positive results for Texas education as well as education across the US. When it comes to politics, no matter the question, the answer is MONEY!
School funding is determined by the average daily attendance of students. Reduce the funding to schools and they will be much more interested in listening to parents. When money is the issue, administrators can make fast decisions. So how can parents reduce funding to schools—Easy–Take your children out of public schools. If a private school is an option, make sure the school is not using CSCOPE or another comparable probram.
Homeschooling is a Good Solution
Another option and one that many parents are choosing is homeschooling. NO! you do not have to have a teaching degree to homeschool. Even if you didn’t get your high school degree, you can still be a good homeschooling parent. In fact, parents that homeschool learn right along with their children. You need a desire for your children to have a good education. Homeschooling is not easy, but a better choice than what our public schools are offering.
Homeschooling can be free. See the following note.

  1. Please do not recommend Texas Virtual Academy as a “homeschool” option. Since it is still part of the Texas public school system, your child is still considered “enrolled,” and the school district still gets money for that student as if he or she were in a chair in the school building. This is the state’s sneaky way of saying “look, you can homeschool,” but they still get to keep the money for that child. Also, you’re still required to educate your child the way the public school would, and you’re still required to submit to all the standardized testing. Homeschool your child for real. Don’t just do public school at home. There are so many other, better curriculums out there at affordable prices. Please don’t recommend this one anymore.
